Proposals

The RIAT Support Center administers grant competitions, making awards to third-party researchers wishing to correct a misreported trial or publish a completed trial that remains unpublished. Over the course of 2018-2020, the RIAT Support Center held multiple funding competitions. The Laura and John Arnold Foundation has provided the funding for the competitions, but has no involvement in the determination of the winners selected. Applications were adjudicated by an external panel of judges.

There are 2 core categories of projects funded through RIAT. Projects applicable to either RIAT category are eligible:

  1. Misreported Trial Restorations
These projects apply to already published trials for which existing evidence  indicates errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in published methods, findings, or conclusions.
  2. Unpublished Trial Restorations
These projects apply to trials that were carried out, completed, and remain unpublished.
